In a pulsating final week of the season, the teams in the League division, the pinnacle of the competition, engaged in fierce battles on the court. The Rivers Phoenix triumphed against the River Warriors, finishing the game with a score of 20-16. Not far behind were the Rivers Runners who showcased their prowess with a decisive 21-8 victory against the River Riders.
However, all eyes were on Cathrine Thompson from Rivers Swimmers, who was declared as the most valued player of the week. Thompson's performance was an exhibition of agility, precision, and a deep understanding of the game, marking her as a key player in the league.
The League division also witnessed the Rivers Divas outplay the River Hot Shots with a score of 22-4. The Rivers Swimmers managed to secure a narrow win against River Rebels with a 12-8 scoreline, further intensifying the competition.
This season of the Tamworth Thursday Netball League has been a thrilling journey, filled with intense rivalries, outstanding individual performances, and memorable matches. The league has once again showcased the caliber and sportsmanship of all the participating teams, with Rivers Runners proving that they are the team to beat in the League division.
