Fireworks exploded on the netball court last night as week 7 of the Worcester Monday 7-a-side Netball League ended with dramatic finishes in both the Premier League and Division 1.
In the Premier League, The Goal Bladders notched a thrilling 14-10 victory over the Court Queens, in a match that kept spectators on their toes. The Perdiswell Shooters and Worcester Ravens gave fans a thrilling showdown with the Shooters edging out the Ravens 19-17 in a nail-biter. The Severn Sirens also demonstrated their prowess with a robust 25-9 victory over the Diamonds.
The sparks continued to fly in Division 1. Give Us A Shot put up a spirited fight against No Direction, falling short in a 6-3 finish. The Weakest Link outperformed Worcester Wildcats in a 12-6 clash that stirred up the courts. Meanwhile, Worcester Ladies showed their mettle against Worcester Sauces, securing an 8-3 victory in a tense faceoff.
The highlight of the week, however, was Natasha Whitehead of the Court Queens. Despite her team's loss, her exceptional play and relentless determination caught the eye of many, earning her the title of Most Valuable Player of the week.
The intense competition and fantastic performances are a clear indication of the skill and passion present in the league.
