The Wolverhampton Wednesday Netball League continues to offer thrilling action and exceptional performances, as evidenced by the results of week 3. However, we would like to remind all players to ensure they are wearing appropriate footwear as we had a few minor injuries this week due to slipping on court.
We would also like to remind all teams that the team kitty gets turned off this week so please ensure that you confirm you team earlier than you have been doing as there were a few teams who turned up short of players this week. If you require additional players to your team, get in contact on 01926 674440 as we have a few players on the waiting list.
The highlight of the evening was the match between Wolfy Divas and Dancing With Wolves. Despite a strong start by Wolfy Divas, Dancing With Wolves turned the tables with an impressive 16-11 victory. Their dynamic performance proved to be the turning point of the game, securing their position on the top of the table.
Meanwhile, Wildflowers continued their winning streak with a decisive 19-7 victory over Wolverines. The Wildflowers dominated the court from the outset, showcasing their defensive prowess and sharp shooting skills.
Lastly, in a nail-biting contest, Wednesday Warriors edged out Winter Wonders with a narrow 12-10 win. The game was a testament to the competitive spirit of the division, with both teams leaving everything on the court.
The standout player for this week was Laura Smith from Winter Wonders. Despite her team's loss, Smith showed commendable skill and determination. Her exemplary performance earned her the title of the Most Valued Player of the week.
