Wolverhampton Wednesday Night Netball - Week 1
Wolverines edged a hard-fought victory over Dancing With Wolves with a score of 9-6. Wolfy Divas had a deadlock at 13-13 against the resilient Rebounders. Winter Wonders played against Wanderlust with a decisive 14-8 win. In the last match, Wildflowers managed a well-earned 8-5 victory over Wednesday Warriors, setting the bar high for the rest of the season.
The standout player of the week, however, was Ziah Grice from Wednesday Warriors. Despite her team's loss, Grice was the engine of the Warriors, demonstrating exceptional playmaking abilities and defensive tenacity.
As the season has just begun, these early matches can often set the tone for the weeks to come. Teams will need to build on their performances and make necessary adjustments to stay competitive.
