Wolverhampton Wednesday Netball League 2024-01-10

In the latest round of the Wolverhampton Wednesday Netball League, we witnessed some riveting and thrilling action on the court. The sixth week of the ongoing season saw a host of matches in the Premier League, with teams vying fiercely for the top spot.

Unfortunately we have had to remove a couple of players from the league due to their actions towards other players. The players concerned had been previously warned but did not follow the advice given so we were left with no alternative. We operate a fun and friendly league and do not tolerate any intimidation or derogiatary comments made towards fellow players.

The league itself saw one of the most anticipated matches of the week, Dancing with Wolves squared off against Wildflowers. Despite a spirited performance, Dancing with Wolves fell short, with the final score reading 7-20 in favour of Wildflowers. However, it was Amanda Suckling of Dancing with Wolves who stole the limelight. Displaying exceptional skills, strategy, and a no-quit attitude, Amanda was unanimously named the most valued player of the week. Her performance, although not enough to secure a win for her team, left an indelible mark on and off the court.

Elsewhere in the League, Winter Wonders secured a narrow victory against Wolverines in a nail-biting contest. The thrilling encounter, which ended with an 11-9 scoreline, added a significant boost to Winter Wonders’ standing in the league.

The sixth week of the Wolverhampton Wednesday league proved that the competition is far from over. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on the League, where every match is a test of mettle, skill, and endurance.

With each passing week, the stakes are getting higher, and the performances even more impressive. We look forward to the next round of matches and hope to see teams and players continue to dazzle with their skills and sportsmanship.
