In an electrifying week 20 of the Birmingham Tuesday Netball league, tensions were high as teams in the League division clashed in a series of nail-biting matches. As we approach the season's grand finale, with just two weeks remaining, teams are strategically securing their standings for next season.
One of the evening's top-scoring games was between Goals Aloud and Goal Diggers, with the latter snatching a compelling victory with a score of 16-12. Goals of Glory also showcased an impressive performance, defeating Sky Shooters with a resounding 17-1 victory.
Equally thrilling was the evenly matched game between Stormers and Spice Goals, ending in a nail-biting 6-6 draw. This game was particularly noteworthy thanks to the exceptional performance of Stormers' player Heidi Awome, who was named the most valued player of the week. Awome's outstanding skill and dedication on the court were pivotal to the Stormers' performance.
In other games, Nets and The City defeated Purple Thunder with a score of 9-5, while Long Shots managed to outscore Hoop There It Is! with a score of 12-4. Finally, Hoop Troops triumphed over Waseley Wizards in a 11-3 victory.
