The Tamworth Thursday Netball league tipped off its new season last night with a series of electrifying matches in the  League that truly set the bar for the competition that lies ahead.

In a remarkable demonstration of agility and skill, the Rivers Swimmers made a huge splash by trouncing River Chicks with a 17-2 score. The Swimmers established their dominance early on, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with this season. Equally impressive was the Rivers Runners' display of skill and team coordination, outscoring the River Hot Shots with an overwhelming 28-2 victory.

In a more closely contested match, the Rivers Phoenix managed to ignite their season with a hard-fought 17-14 win over the River Rebels. The intensity of the match was palpable, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats till the final whistle. The Rivers Divas also started off strong with a 21-15 win over the River Riders, exhibiting both defensive strength and offensive prowess.

A notable highlight of the evening was the performance of Kerrie Perrin from River Warriors. Despite her team's 8-24 loss to River Vixens, Perrin's exceptional performance on the court earned her the title of Most Valued Player for the week, proving that individual brilliance can shine even in team defeat.

The season is off to a thrilling start, and the League has proven that it is not short of talent or competitiveness. The top scorers for the week have set a high standard, and we look forward to the ensuing weeks of the Tamworth Thursday Netball league with bated breath.
