The fourth week of intriguing action in the Tamworth Thursday Netball League, known as "The Premier League", has left no shortage of drama, with every team bringing their A game to the table.
In a night filled with thrilling hustle and tussle, the River Hot Shots faced a tough challenge against the River Riders, with the Riders emerging triumphant with a score of 17-11. The Riders' formidable display of skills and teamwork was a sight to behold and they are proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the league.
Meanwhile, we were treated to a nail-biting encounter between the River Rebels and the River Warriors. The Warriors managed to clutch a narrow victory with an end score of 11-10, demonstrating their tenacity and resilience in the heat of the game.
The Rivers Swimmers, despite their spirited performance, were outplayed by the Rivers Divas who sailed through with a satisfying 16-12 win. This compelling match undoubtedly had spectators on the edge of their seats.
However, the standout performance of the night was undeniably from the Rivers Runners who recorded an astounding 28-1 victory over Rivers Phoenix. The Runners showed exceptional skill and strategy, dominating the game in every quarter.
On a brighter note for the Phoenix, Fiona Miller was named as the week's Most Valued Player. Despite her team's loss, Miller's performance was a masterclass, setting the court ablaze with her remarkable defensive skills, sharp shooting, and exceptional footwork.
While the top scorers for each team are yet to be officially announced, there's no doubt that the League is living up to its name, providing some of the most exciting Netball action Tamworth has ever seen. As we move into the fifth week, the anticipation is palpable, with all teams hungry for victory.
