Redditch Tuesday Netball 30th January

The Redditch Tuesday social netball league saw week 3 take place this week and another good evening was had by all. 

The first match of the evening saw league leaders "Betty`s Comets" maintain their 100% record as they gained a crucial 23 - 5 victory over a battling "Redditch Rockets" team. Although it was a relatively comfortable victory for Comets, the improvement in game play from the Rockets from week 1 was quite clear to see.

Match 2 of the night saw the only other team with a 100% record "Rebels" gain a fine 20 - 1 victory against The Tudors. Rebels produced some fine examples of passing and movement on the way to victory as their experience of playing together was a clear advantage over The Tudors who gave their all to the final whistle. Having only played together for 3 weeks The Tudors are showing great signs of improvement each week and its only a matter of time till they register their first point based on the excellent commitment and effort.

Match of the evening took place at the end of the night as Ball Hoggers took on Goal Divas in a game dominated by both sets of defenders. Louise Grocutt gave an inspirational performance on her way to gaining the Most Valuable Player award for Hoggers as they eventually took the points with a narrow 5 - 4 scoreline.
