In the final fixtures of the Redditch Tuesday Social Netball League held at Tudor Grange Academy, all teams came together for a night of friendly competition, marking the culmination of the current season on a high note. Despite the competitive nature of the matches, the spirit of camaraderie prevailed throughout the evening:
Betty's Comets showcased their dominance with an impressive 31-4 victory over Goal Divas, capping off an outstanding season with a perfect record of 10 wins out of 10 matches. Their remarkable performance earned them the well-deserved title of champions.
Ball Hoggers delivered a commanding performance, securing a convincing 35-2 win against The Tenacious 7, showcasing their strength and skill on the court.
In the Match of the Night, Rebels and Redditch Rockets engaged in a thrilling battle, with Redditch Rockets ultimately emerging victorious with a scoreline of 14-10. Kimberley Richards' exceptional performance earned her the title of Most Valuable Player for the match.
As the current season comes to a close, preparations are already underway for the new campaign set to begin next Tuesday, April 9th. All teams will be contacted within the next 24 hours to confirm their start times for the upcoming season, promising another exciting chapter in the league's history.
Special recognition goes to Debra Winson, who was awarded the Player of the Season accolade for her outstanding contributions and dedication throughout the season. With anticipation building for the new campaign, the league looks forward to another season of thrilling matches and friendly competition, continuing to foster the love for netball in the community.
