The much-anticipated Alfreton Wednesday Night Netball League had a thrilling start last night, with a series of exciting matches marking week 1 of the new season. The division saw a flurry of action that sent a clear message - this season is going to be fiercely competitive.

In the league, Passalona set the bar high with a 26-6 victory over Pretty In Pink. The Ironville Maidens proved their mettle by securing a 9-4 victory over the Netsetters. 

However, the real nail-biter of the evening was the clash between the Tiger Dolls and Queen Bees. The Queen Bees emerged victorious with a hard-fought 17-12 win, leaving everyone involved on the edge of their seats till the final whistle.

While it is still early in the season, it's clear that each team in the division is bringing their A-game. If week 1 is anything to go by, we can expect a season filled with high-intensity matches, powerful performances, and dazzling displays of skill. As the season progresses, keep an eye out for the top scorers in each division, who will no doubt play a pivotal role in their teams' successes.
