In a thrilling final week of the Swadlincote Wednesday Netball League, Get The Rebound triumphantly secured their place as champions, achieving an impressive total of 24 points with 12 wins.

The high-stakes night began with a fierce competition between the Pink Ladies and Shooting Stars, with the latter team coming out victorious, scoring a 15-3 win. The atmosphere was charged further as Hoops I Did It Again clashed with Block And Shot, resulting in a tight match with a final score of 12-9 in favor of Block And Shot.

Hoopsie Daisy and The Hoola Hoops competed with equal vigor, but The Hoola Hoops managed to secure a win, outscoring their opponents 17-3. The evening was capped off with an electrifying match between Wildcats and the eventual champions Get The Rebound, with Get The Rebound emerging victorious, 23-2.

The division witnessed exceptional performances, but one player stood out above the rest. Ros McGovern of Wildcats was named the most valued player of the week, following a series of standout performances that wowed both her teammates and the spectators.

The successful completion of the season has left everyone in great anticipation for what the next season might bring. Congratulations to the champions of the League, Get The Rebound on a stellar season, and to all the teams for their hard-fought matches and commendable sportsmanship throughout the league.

The area manager will call all teams to ensure everyone is okay with the start of the new season next week 11th Decmeber.
