In the world of netball, the Swadlincote Wednesday League continues to deliver electrifying games week after week. As the teams braved the courts for the eighth week of the season, we were treated to a display of skill and determination that only this league can offer.
In the League, Shooting Stars took on Hoopsie Daisy in an intense battle. Despite a valiant effort from Hoopsie Daisy, Shooting Stars emerged victorious with a final score of 15 – 9.
On the same night, Hoops I Did It Again faced off with the Wildcats. The encounter was fierce, but Hoops I Did It Again showcased incredible teamwork to dominate the game, outscoring Wildcats 16 - 1.
Pink Ladies battled Get The Rebound in a game that saw Get The Rebound showing their prowess on the court, and despite Pink Ladies' efforts, they ended up with a 28 - 3 lost.
The riveting action continued as Block And Shot played against The Hoola Hoops. Block And Shot came out swinging, taking the game with a brilliant score of 16 - 8.
This week's most valued player award went to Amy Cassar from Hoopsie Daisy. Despite her team's result, Amy's performance shone brightly on the court, making her an easy choice for MVP. Her commitment, precision, and undeniable talent make her a standout player in the Premier League division.
