In the first week of the season, the League division watched the teams battle it out with the kind of gusto and determination that promises an exciting season ahead. Girls of Glory and Rogue Angels emerged as the top scorers in the division, setting the pace for the weeks to come.

In the much-anticipated match of the night, Girls Of Glory surged past Stratford Divas with a decisive 19-10 victory. Their combination of agile offence and solid defence left the crowd in awe. Similarly, the Rogue Angels demonstrated their prowess on the court with a hard-fought 14-9 win over Court Queens in a game that had spectators on the edge of their seats.

Among the standout performances of the night, the spotlight shone brightest on Emma Lomas from Court Queens. Despite her team’s loss, Lomas' performance stood out making her the most valued player of the week. Her deft moves and strategic gameplay were a sight to behold and it’s clear she will be a player to watch in the matches to come.

This first week of matches has set the bar high for the remainder of the season. With such an exciting start, Netball fans across the region are already anticipating what thrills the next week of play in the Stratford-upon-Avon Netball League will bring.
