The first week of the much-anticipated Redditch Thursday Netball League fired off last night, with teams battling it out in League division in a series of fast-paced and heart-pounding matches.

In the League, the nail-biting face-off between Game Of Throws and Redditch Ravens saw the Ravens narrowly clinching the victory with a final score of 15-14. This intense match was a testament to both teams' competitiveness and showcased their determination to start the season on a high note.

In another intriguing match, Shooting Stars outshined Nets Top Model with a brilliant score of 13-3, demonstrating their superior strategy and teamwork right from the outset of the season. The Golden Goalers, despite putting up a spirited fight, fell short against The Flyballers who triumphed 18-10 in another highly contested match of the night.

The most valued player of the week honor went to Kirsty Thomas of Game Of Throws. Despite their team's narrow loss, Thomas emerged as a shining beacon with her exceptional skills and sportsmanship. Her performance has certainly set the bar high for the rest of the season.

The leading scorers for this division, Shooting Stars and The Flyballers, have set a formidable pace. However, with the season just kicking off, it’s anybody’s game. We look forward to more thrilling matches and exceptional individual performances in the weeks to come.
