As winter begins to bite, the competitive heat rises in the Shrewsbury Sunday Netball league. The ninth week of the season took place yesterday evening, with the League witnessing some electrifying matches that had the everyone on the edge of their seats.

In a pulsating encounter, the Bear Steppers took on Shrew D'you Think You Are?. The match was a fierce contest from the start, but the Shrews managed to gain the upper hand and defeated their strong opponents with a score of 11 - 6. Shrew D'you Think You Are? showed commendable teamwork and tactical play, which were key to their outstanding victory.

In another League match, Snooze You Shrews squared off against Severn Sisters. Snooze You Shrews left no stone unturned in their formidable 12 - 1 victory, displaying their prowess on the court. Their dominance was clear, and they proved why they're one of the top-scoring teams in the division.

Despite the result, the Bear Steppers had their moment of glory too. Cora Paul, their key player, was named the most valued player of the week. Paul's fantastic performance was filled with spectacular interceptions and accurate shooting; a true masterclass of netball. 

As the season continues, the Shrewsbury Sunday Netball league promises more thrilling matches in the weeks to come. The teams are locked and loaded, ready to fight for the title.
