It was an action-packed week at the Shrewsbury Sunday Netball League, as the third week of the season saw thrilling matches and outstanding performances in the division. Over the week, Bear Steppers and Severn Sisters showed their prowess, and the most valued player of the week emerged from the pack.
In the division, the Bear Steppers roared to a commanding victory over Shrew D'you Think You Are?, clinching a 9-2 win. Demonstrating a superb blend of skill, teamwork, and strategy on the court, the Bear Steppers underscored their competitive edge, seizing the top spot in the division.
However, the real star of the night was Bear Steppers' Cora Paul, who was named the most valued player of the week. Paul’s stunning performance on the court underscored her status as a key player in the league, as her agility, strategic acumen, and unwavering dedication contributed immensely to her team's victory.
Elsewhere in the League, Severn Sisters and Snooze You Shrews fought to a riveting standstill in a nail-biting encounter that ended in a 2-2 draw. Both teams displayed incredible resilience and a high level of play, leaving us all on the edge of their seats till the final whistle.
