Week 5 of the Rugeley Tuesday Night Netball League concluded yesterday with 4 thrilling matches, as we bid farewell to one team, but welcome another next week...
The night kicked off with a action packed match between Rugeley Roses and Phoenix Reds. The Roses fought hard, scoring 14 points, but it was the Phoenix Reds who claimed victory with a ten-point lead, ending the match with 24 points.
The game was followed by a nail-biter between Rugeley Rebels and Rugeley Warriors. Both teams displayed exceptional sportsmanship and agility, but it was the Warriors who clinched a narrow win with a score of 8, leaving the Rebels trailing with 7 points.
The temperature continued to rise as Rugeley Rangers took on The Original Lions. Rangers played a brilliant game, scoring 10 points to The Original Lion's 6, securing their win with a four-point lead.
The most exciting match of the evening was undoubtedly between Rugeley Nightingales and Rockets. The Nightingales soared to a victory with a score of 35, while the Rockets scored 3. Despite the tough loss, Rockets' player Anna Freeman earned the title of 'Most Valued Player' this week.
