In the latest fixtures of the Pershore Wednesday Social Netball League at Pershore High School, all teams were once again present for another evening of competitive matches. The atmosphere was lively as teams took to the court for their respective matchups.
The reigning champions, Pershore Panthers, faced off against Killer Queens in a spirited contest. Despite a valiant effort from Killer Queens, Pershore Panthers demonstrated their prowess with a 17-5 victory. However, Killer Queens put up an excellent account of themselves, showcasing their determination and resilience against the formidable champions.
Winging It encountered Court Queens in another exciting match, with Court Queens emerging victorious with a 14-4 win. Despite the loss, Lindsey Mendez from Winging It was recognised as the Player of the Match for her outstanding performance, demonstrating her skills and commitment throughout the game.
Shooters and Pershore Pivots engaged in a closely contested match, with Shooters ultimately securing a narrow 9-5 victory. It was a great game between two evenly matched sides, with Shooters managing to edge out their opponents in the end.
The final match of the evening saw Hooper's and Diva's battle it out on the court. In another closely fought contest, Diva's emerged victorious with a narrow 8-7 win. Elektra Page from Hooper's was named Player of the Match for her exceptional contribution to her team's performance.
Pershore Panthers and Court Queens maintained their perfect start to the season, each securing their second consecutive victory. As the season progresses, teams continue to demonstrate their skills and commitment to the sport, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive league campaign ahead.
