Another good evening on the whole in the Pershore Wednesday Social Netball league with all teams in attendance and all matches closely contested. However, we did have a few ladies who though it was appropriate to give dirty looks to the umpires and question their decisions. This will not be tolerated as we said earlier in the season when we had to remove a player. This will be monitored and no warnings will be given again as if you feel this is appropriate behaviour, then we are not the league for you. This is a social league and all players and officials should have an enjoyable experience but if this is not the case, then we will take appropriate action.
The league itself saw Court Queens and Hooper's engage in a closely contested battle, resulting in a thrilling 6-5 victory for Court Queens. The match was hailed as the Match of the Night, with the outcome hanging in the balance until the final whistle. Kelly Catchpole's standout performance earned her the Player of the Match award for Court Queens, recognising her contributions to the team's success.
Winging It secured a narrow 8-6 victory over Shooters in another closely contested match, highlighting the competitive spirit and determination of both teams.
Pershore Panthers delivered a dominant performance, securing a 17-7 victory over Pershore Pivots. Their cohesive teamwork and effective offensive strategies propelled them to the top spot on goal difference, setting the stage for an exciting title race in the remaining matches of the season.
Killer Queens emerged victorious with a 15-10 win over Diva's, showcasing their skill and determination on the court.
With only three matches remaining, the race for the championship promises to be intense, with Pershore Panthers and Pershore Pivots battling it out for the title. As the season reaches its climax, the Pershore Wednesday Social Netball League promises more thrilling matchups and opportunities for teams to showcase their talent and teamwork.
