In the latest fixtures of the Pershore Wednesday Social Netball League held at Pershore High School, all teams turned up once again for an evening of friendly competition. The matches were characterised by a warm and supportive atmosphere, highlighting the camaraderie among most of the players. Unfortunately we did have an incident in the last match of the evening where a few players from Pivots had to be warned about their behaviour. We will not tolerate anyone trying to intimidate our officials or fellow players and the next course of action will be to remove individuals or entire teams if this continues.
The evening commenced with a closely contested match between Hooper's and Shooters, which ended in a 3-3 draw. Both teams displayed commendable skills and sportsmanship throughout the game, contributing to an evenly matched encounter.
In a dominant display, Pershore Panthers secured a convincing 23-4 victory over Diva's. Despite the scoreline, Lucie Cartwright from Diva's was awarded the Player of the Match for her outstanding performance and efforts to keep her team motivated.
The clash between Killer Queens and Winging It was hailed as the Match of the Night. In a closely fought battle, Killer Queens emerged victorious with a narrow 12-10 win over Winging It. Leanne Morris from Winging It was recognised as the Player of the Match for her exceptional contributions and resilience on the court.
In another exciting fixture, Court Queens faced off against Pershore Pivots. Court Queens put on a strong display of teamwork and determination, securing a 9-5 victory over Pershore Pivots.
