Kenilworth Sunday Social Netball League Update 7th April

In the latest fixtures of the Kenilworth Sunday Social Netball League held at Kenilworth Sixth Form, teams gathered once again for a day of friendly competition and sportsmanship.

However, I need to remind teams that it is unacceptable to confront our umpires during a match and its even worse when you do it outside the venue. Please can everyone make sure that all players in your team respect our officials at all times or they will be removed from the league.

And Bringing Up The Rear started the day strong with a solid 5-0 victory over Castles, showcasing their defensive prowess and strategic play on the court.

Bellestars faced off against Goal Diggers in a closely contested match, but it was Goal Diggers who emerged victorious with a 13-6 win, demonstrating their offensive capabilities and teamwork.

Sparta secured a narrow 10-8 victory over Cherry Bombs in a thrilling match that could have gone either way. Despite the loss, Molly Nicholls from Cherry Bombs stood out with an exceptional performance, earning her the Player of the Match award.

In another exciting match, Hoops We Did It Again took on Pink Parrots, but it was Pink Parrots who claimed a convincing 14-6 win. Rachael Graham from Pink Parrots was recognised as the Player of the Match for her outstanding contributions to the team's victory.

As the league progresses, the competition remains tight, with And Bringing Up The Rear, Sparta, Goal Diggers, and Pink Parrots all tied on 8 points after the fifth round of fixtures. Each team has only suffered one loss so far this season, highlighting the competitive nature of the league.

With the standings so closely contested, every match becomes crucial as teams vie for the top spots in the league table. The league continues to provide an enjoyable platform for players to come together, showcase their skills, and foster a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among all participants.
