In the latest fixtures of the Kenilworth Sunday Social Netball League at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form, all participating teams once again demonstrated their commitment to friendly competition. The atmosphere was vibrant as teams took to the court for a series of engaging matchups.
A special mention must go out to Ruth from Hoops We Did It Again. Unforunately she suffered a bad sprain as she twisted her ankle during her match but we are hopeful that she will be back in around a months time. We would like to wish her a full and speedy recovery and really hope to see her back again sooner rather than later.
In the league itself, Sparta started the evening with a12-4 victory against Bellestars, with Amanda Bailey delivering an inspirational performance that earned her the Player of the Match accolade.
In another thrilling encounter, Pink Parrots secured a 12-6 win against Goal Diggers. Kim Cleland from Goal Diggers stood out with her unwavering effort and dedication, earning her the Player of the Match award. Despite the loss, Goal Diggers showcased their resilience and determination throughout the match.
Castles managed to clinch a narrow 9-6 victory over Hoops We Did It Again in a closely contested matchup. Sally Thatcher's standout performance for Castles played a pivotal role in their success on the court.
Cherry Bombs emerged victorious with a hard-fought 7-5 win against And Bringing Up The Rear, thanks to Lucy Hooper's stellar performance. Hooper's contributions made the difference in a tightly contested match, earning her team a well-deserved victory.
With the latest results, Pink Parrots maintained their lead at the top of the league table with 14 points. Sparta, And Bringing Up The Rear, and Goal Diggers closely followed with 10 points each, setting the stage for an exciting competition as the season progresses. The league continues to showcase the friendly and competitive spirit of all participating teams, promising more thrilling matchups in the weeks to come.
