Everyone at Youplay Netball would like to wish all our players and Umpires in the Hinckley Netball league a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Your local league is now off until Sunday 5th January so enjoy the break with loved ones and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New year.

In the League, the Warrior Queens faced off against the Burbage Ballers in a nail-biting match that ended with a 11-11 draw. A standout performance was given by Claire McDonagh of the Warrior Queens, whose exceptional play earned her the title of Most Valued Player for the week, exhibiting an impressive demonstration of skill and strategy.

On the other end of the court, the Shooting Stars shone brightly against Flames, winning the match 12-9. The Stars' top scorers showed a winning spirit, adding to the excitement of this opening week. Pitch Slaps and Hustlers also showed a commendable fight, with the latter team coming out on top with a 15-9 victory.

But the surprise of the evening was undoubtedly the showdown between Pink Ladies and Netchicks Season 2. The Netchicks dominated the game, leaving no chance for the Pink Ladies to score, ending the match with a resounding 22-0 victory.

As the season continues, we can expect to see more intense competition and brilliant performances from these talented teams. The opening week of the Hinckley Sunday Netball League has set the bar high, and the excitement for the upcoming matches is palpable. Fans, players, and critics alike eagerly await what the rest of the season holds.
