Stoke-on-trent Thursday social netball update 27th June

The Stoke Thursday league will be held at The Co-op Academy on Thursday 4th July due to Fenton Manor being used for the election!

This week in the league we saw a closely contested match, Game Of Throws faced The Swans. The match was a nail-biter, with both teams displaying strong performances, but The Swans ultimately emerged victorious with an 8-5 win. Laura Glinn from Game Of Throws was awarded the Player of the Match accolade for her outstanding effort, keeping her team in contention throughout.

Cherry Bombs went up against Flames in a match that ended with a decisive 16-2 victory for Flames. Despite the loss, Naomi Lister from Cherry Bombs had a standout performance and was recognised as the Player of the Match for her tenacity and skill on the court.

High Ballers and Chaotic Misfits played another close game, with Chaotic Misfits securing a 9-4 win. The match showcased the abilities of both teams, but Chaotic Misfits were more clinical in their execution. Michelle Edwards from High Ballers was named Player of the Match for her excellent all-round performance, which kept her team competitive throughout.

Queen Bees were awarded a 5-0 victory in their points match. Mollie Cager from Queen Bees delivered an outstanding performance in their arranged match, demonstrating her prowess and contributing significantly to her team's success.

With only two matches of the season played, Flames and Queen Bees remain the only teams with a 100% record, placing them at the top of the table. Their strong starts have set the tone for what promises to be a competitive and thrilling season ahead.
