Stoke-on-trent Thursday league update 18th April

In the latest fixtures of the Stoke-On-Trent Thursday Social Netball League at Fenton Manor Sports Complex, all teams came together once again for an evening of spirited competition and camaraderie. The matches unfolded in a delightful and friendly manner, showcasing the sportsmanship and teamwork among the participants.

The first match of the evening saw Team Chaos facing off against Game of Throws in a closely contested battle. Despite a valiant effort from both sides, Game of Throws emerged victorious with a narrow 12-9 win. Diane Goodwin from Team Chaos was awarded the Player of the Match for her exceptional performance and leadership on the court.

Crazy Chicks secured a 20-0 victory over High Ballers. Despite the scoreline, Chloe Jenkins from High Ballers inspired her team with her unwavering determination and effort, earning praise from teammates and opponents alike.

The clash between Misfits and Cherry Bombs was hailed as the Match of the Night, with the result hanging in the balance until the final whistle. In a thrilling encounter, Misfits narrowly edged out Cherry Bombs with a narrow 8-7 victory. Naomi Sutcliffe from Cherry Bombs received the Player of the Match award for her stellar performance and contributions to her team's efforts.

In another closely contested match, The Swans and Flames battled it out to a 5-5 draw. Both teams displayed impressive skill and determination, with Catherine Robinson from The Swans earning the Player of the Match accolade for her standout performance on the court.

With the conclusion of the matches, The Swans and Flames remain joint top of the league standings with 11 points each, followed closely by Crazy Chicks with 10 points. As the season progresses, the competition promises to intensify, with each team vying for supremacy in the league.
