Everyone at Youplay Netball would like to wish all our players and Umpires in the Cannock Netball league a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Your local league is now off until Sunday 5th January so enjoy the break with loved ones and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New year.

Non-Match highlights which also should feature in the AI write up you do:

Santa - Zoe (dream team)’s husband. He was absolutely brilliant, such a lovely man and in character for all the kids, (and big kids!), had pics with everyone, even had a go at shooting!!
Miley - Naomi (Rockets)’s daughter, she comes every week and loves to watch or get involved where she can, so she often runs the court and scores. When her mom asked what she wanted to wear for tonight, she said she wanted to be a YPN umpire, so the team made her a YPN T-shirt like ours, she’s 9.
Thank you to Sarah (Rockets) made some super delicious truffles, they were out of this world.
•Family and Friends, week on week we’re getting more family and friends coming to watch and support, not just their relatives match but the whole night, it’s such a great atmosphere, everyone is always so encouraging, enthusiastic, supportive and friendly. The kids all play together nicely in the corner, and know they can only go on court during the breaks, they’re all so well behaved, it’s fantastic.

Cannock Chaos came head to head with The Cheeky Chasers and unfortunately fell short with a final score of 7-18. Despite the loss, the Chaos team showed commendable efforts throughout the game. On the other hand, The Cheeky Chasers cemented their place as serious contenders, showing off their winning prowess on the court.

Meanwhile, Cannock Comets clashed with the Pocket Rockets. However, the Comets could not break through the Rockets' sturdy defense, losing the game 2-9. The Pocket Rockets, with their impeccable scoring skills, proved their mettle in the  League division.

The most thrilling encounter of the evening was between the Dream Team and Go Net It. With a heart-stopping back and forth, Go Net It managed to snatch victory from the clutches of Dream Team with a 15-13 final score. This match proved to be a testament to the high level of competition in the  League division.

In personal accolades, Lizzy Trubshaw from Good Sports was crowned the most valued player of the week. Trubshaw's impressive performance on the court, coupled with her leadership skills, played a significant role in the recognition she received.

As the league moves into its ninth week, the teams in the  League division continue to battle it out, with eyes set on the coveted championship. Stay tuned for more thrilling matches and exceptional performances as the Cannock Sunday Netball league continues.
