As the opening whistle of the new season echoed across the court, the netball teams of the League division have blasted off to an energetic start in the Cannock Sunday  Netball league. The suspense, the drama, the excitement of the league is palpable, and from the cacophony of cheers and shouts, it is clear that the season has begun.

In the high-octane first week of the league, The Cheeky Chasers took a commanding lead over Cannock Chaos with a resounding 20-4 victory, demonstrating their prowess on the court and setting a high bar for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Pocket Rockets soared to a 9-3 triumph over Cannock Comets.

Elsewhere, Chase Chicks outplayed Good Sports in a thrilling matchup that ended 19-5 in favor of Chase Chicks. Their precision, agility and teamwork on the court was a sight to behold. However, the match of the week was undoubtedly between Go Net It and Dream Team. The latter faced defeat with a score of 20-11, but not before Dream Team's own Samantha Frankham showcased a performance worthy of accolades.

Samantha Frankham, the standout player of the week, put on a performance that was nothing short of spectacular. Her agility, precision, and tactical awareness on the court were instrumental in her team's performance. Despite the Dream Team's loss, Frankham's abilities shone through, and she has undoubtedly set the scene for what promises to be a thrilling season.
