Warwick's Social Netball continued to deliver high-octane thrills and spills this week, as week six of the season saw the fiercest teams go head to head on the court, displaying skill, strategy and sheer determination.
Matchups were nothing short of electrifying, with Nutballs leading the charge with a confident 20-10 victory over Hands On The Ball! The Nutballs demonstrated a perfect balance of strong defence and agile offence, setting the pace for the evening and leaving no doubt about their prowess on the court.
The league's second matchup saw Nets Get Physical pitted against Hoops I Did It Again, in a game that had spectators on the edge of their seats. Despite a valiant effort by Nets Get Physical, Hoops I Did It Again clinched a 11-6 victory.
Shooting Stars and The A-Team also clashed in a tension-filled game, with Shooting Stars ultimately outshining their opponents with a narrow 18-13 victory.
The highlight of the night, however, was undoubtedly the dazzling performance by Nets Get Physical's Yasmin Amed. Despite her team's loss, Amed was named the most valuable player of the week. Her exceptional skills, unwavering focus and team spirit shone through, earning her well-deserved recognition.
As the Warwick Monday League moves into its seventh week, the division's top scorers, Nutballs, are setting a challenging pace. However, with players like Amed in the mix, the fight for the top spot is far from over. The season continues to promise more tough competition, nail-biting finishes and outstanding individual performances. Stay tuned for more exciting netball action!
