It was another pulsating night of netball at the Ashbourne Wednesday Netball league, with teams in the League delivering a thrilling spectacle. Fans were treated to a show of skill, determination, and sportsmanship that had them on their feet from start to finish.

In the League, the nets were ablaze with the high-scoring exploits of Nets Get Physical and Ash & Dash, both of whom notched impressive victories. Nets Get Physical proved too strong for Sling It Sisters, powering their way to a commanding 17-6 win. Their offensive prowess was on full display as they took on the Sisters’ defence.

The match between Ash & Dash and Pass Me The Wine was a much tighter affair. It was a clash of the titans, with both teams going toe to toe throughout the game. The match ended with Ash & Dash edging Pass Me The Wine, 18-16, in a nail-biting finish. 

Despite the result, Pass Me The Wine had a standout performer, Amy Coates, who was named the most valued player of the week. Coates, with her exceptional skill and tenacity, rose above the competition, putting in a performance that was nothing short of spectacular.

While the results of this week have set the tone for the remainder of the season, they have also highlighted the excellent sportsmanship and competitive spirit within the Ashbourne Wednesday Netball league. With each team showcasing their mettle, we can only expect more thrilling encounters in the weeks ahead.
