In an electrifying start to the new netball season, Telford Sunday witnessed some unnerving clashes and jaw-dropping performances. A series of spectacular games in the opening week set the pace for what promises to be a thrilling season.
The Wrecking Ballers and Hoopdoggz kicked off the season with a nail-biting 7-7 draw, setting the tone for subsequent games. Kiss My Pass who stole the win from Telford Titans with an 14-3 victory. Their star player, Leesa Rowlands, was unanimously declared the most valued player of the week. Spice Goals, with their dazzling performance, managed to also come away with a win over Glitterballs, 7-1. Soul Sisters were not far behind as they clinched an 8-4 win against Here We Go Again. Pitch Perfect managed to take a win for their first game of the new season against Hot Shots with an 14-2 score line. In what was arguably the most gripping match of the opening week, Netball Numpties narrowly escaped defeat at the hands of One Hit Wonders with a 7-6 win, which sees them entering the next week with a spring in their step.
Unfortunatly due to venue avaiabality, were are unable to run the league this Sunday, but are working closely with the lesiure centre and will be back up and running with week 2 on Sunday 4th August.
