The opening week of the highly-anticipated Telford Sunday Netball League was a thrilling spectacle of fierce competition and outstanding athleticism. The league, broken into the Premier League and Division 1, saw compelling matches that had us all on the edge of our seats.

In the Premier League, Wrecking Ballers edged out Glitterballs 8-7 in a nail-biting contest. With newbies, Telford Twerkers taking to the court for the first time with a 23-4 victory over Hoops I Did It Again. The final match of the night saw Pitch Perfect fall short against Kiss My Pass, despite a valiant effort, with a final score of 8-11.

Over in Division 1, Telford Titans roared to a 11-3 victory against Chaos Crew, while Spice Goals triumphed over Hoopdoggz 7-5. In the final match of the division, Hot Shots managed to outscore Netball Numpties in a close match, securing a 5-3 win.

The evening was not just about team success; it also celebrated individual excellence. Sonia Clemson of Pitch Perfect shone as the most valued player of the week, demonstrating unparalleled skill and sportsmanship on the court.

The season has just kicked off, but the excitement and intensity of the matches have set the tone for an exhilarating league. Following the opening week, Telford Twerkers and Telford Titans lead the scoring in their respective divisions.

As teams regroup and prepare for next week's games, the focus will be on maintaining momentum and strategizing for the upcoming contests. The court awaits for week 2!
