SOCIAL NETBALL IN TELFORD ON SUNDAY GETS UNDERWAY

The opening night in our Telford Sunday night social netball league got underway this week and what a great turn out it was.

All matches on the evening created lots of fun, giggles, laughs and we all exercised without even realising it!

We did have a couple of teams who were short on players this week due to late cancellations, but we got through the evening thanks to all the players who helped out. Don’t forget that if you are ever short of a player as one of your regular players cannot attend you can bring a friend, colleague or family member along to fill in, if you are still struggling and need some help, we can find you an extra player from the single players list. We always have signs up from individuals wanting to get involved. You can also post out on the players’ lounge which gives you access to all the players in the league if you are short for the odd week. Don't forget a link would have been posted into your whats app group...

Remember to follow your fixtures each week on our website and ensure that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your start time. We never change the start times of individual games throughout the course of the season which means that you can get yourself organised for future weeks as you can see what time you are playing and plan weeks in advance.

One final note to push out for the safety of all players is to ensure that nails are short (if not you will need to wear gloves), rings and piercings are taped, and watches are removed. I am aware that certain Fitbit watches are acceptable (they tend to be the ones with the rubber straps that include the watch face) however some apple watches that are raised are not. If you are asked by the umpire to remove an item of jewellery, remember this is for your own safety and others, we expect all players to adhere to this…...

We look forward to welcoming you all again next week.
